Handmade Holidays
First off I’d like to thank Pinterest for helping me save a little extra cash over the past few months. I have found so much inspiration and ideas for projects; especially where the holidays are concerned. It seems every year I get sucked into purchasing more and more Christmas decor and not always at an affordable price. It’s no secret around here that Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love the family gatherings, the lights, Christmas trees, the look of pure joy on my boys faces when we’re decorating the house…because they know Santa is coming soon and the smell of snow in air! Tell me I’m not the only one who can smell snow? Yes? Err maybe it’s a New England thing.
I know we still have to get through Thanksgiving but I’m so ready to start creating some new Christmas decor. A quick scan for Christmas Wreaths led me to this little tutorial. So off to Target and the dollar store I go.
$10 later and we go from this:

I am so pleased with the way it turned out! It was so easy and dare I say…relaxing. And I even had a little helper for about 10 minutes until he dumped me for bigger and better things…Legos.
My next Christmas project is the tomato cage tree! 2 for the front porch and 1 for indoors.

And while my office makeover is still on hold that hasn’t stopped me from picking up accessories here and there. Here’s a little sneak peak.
