Infusing Color Throughout The Living Room
My living room project is now one step closer to completion. To say it’s progressed slowly is a gross understatement but it’s getting there. Time and money are always an issue.
I purchased this side table about 4 years ago and it no longer matches anything in our home so it became the perfect candidate for my next paint project. I apologize for the crummy before pic, this was the best of the bunch.

Thankfully my little table didn’t need any kind of extra special care; just a quick wipe down with a de-greaser and a couple of coats of Zinsser Cover Stain. This was my first time using it in a spray and I will most definitely be using it again for small to medium sized projects. It covers nicely and dries super quick.
I chose Rustoleum’s Fern. The cap color is much darker than the actual paint. The photo below is a truer representation of the actual color. I haven’t spray painted many things so I’m not sure if that’s just how it is.
I’ll spare you the in between painting pics and jump right to the finished product, which I heart big time.
I can’t pass this little corner of the room without smiling. It’s such a great color!

I love it! This color is great – I’ve been looking for something similar that isn’t so “apple green” – thanks for sharing! ( I also LOVE the blue on that wall we get a peek at through the doorway!) ~L
Bella…… how cute is that???? I’m always amazed at the finish people get on furniture when they spray paint it. I must do something wrong, I’ll have to practice.
